Bank Deposit

  • Cancellation Less Than Five Weeks Before Test Date - Candidates cancelling their IELTS test appointment less than five weeks ahead of the scheduled test date will not receive any refund.

  • Non-Appearance on Test Date - Failing to appear for the scheduled IELTS test without prior cancellation will result in no refund. This is considered a cancellation.

  • Medical Circumstances - Candidates providing a valid medical certificate within 5 days of the test date may be eligible for a refund. However, the refund will be subject to a deduction of the local administrative cost.

 

IELTS Exam Rescheduling Fees

If you need to change your IELTS test date, you must follow the rescheduling procedure, ensuring compliance with the specified timeline and fees.

  • Request Rescheduling - To change your IELTS test date, you must request a rescheduling at least five weeks before the originally booked test date. This request incurs a cancellation or postponement fee.

  • Selection of New Test Date - Candidates should select a new test date within 3 months of the originally booked test date. This allows for flexibility in rescheduling while ensuring timely completion of the exam.

  • IELTS Exam Rescheduling Fees - There is an IELTS Exam Rescheduling Fee of INR 3,300, inclusive of all taxes, for transferring the test date. This rescheduling fee covers the administrative costs associated with processing the rescheduling request.

  • Limitations on Rescheduling - Candidates are permitted to reschedule the IELTS exam only once. Subsequent rescheduling requests will not be entertained. Moreover, failure to take the IELTS test on the rescheduled date results in forfeiture of any refund and rescheduling options.

 

IELTS Exam Rechecking Fees

If IELTS test takers find their results unsatisfactory, they have the option to request a recheck of their scores. However, candidates have to pay the IELTS rechecking fee. When registering for the IELTS exam, candidates will get 5 electronic Test Report Forms (TRFs) at no additional cost. These TRFs will be used to send scores to universities abroad. However, if candidates wish to send their scores to more than 5 universities, they have to pay an additional TRF fee.

 

Candidates can initially apply to send their scores electronically to a maximum of 5 universities in one day. If they wish to send scores to more universities, they must log in on the next day to continue the process. There are three methods to send additional TRFs to universities.

  • Courier - Candidates can opt for courier delivery by paying an extra IELTS Exam Registration fees of INR 1500 for each university. Scores are typically delivered within 4 days, and candidates receive a tracking number for their reference.

  • Airmail - Alternatively, candidates can choose airmail delivery by paying a fee of INR 250 for each university. However, it may take up to 2 weeks for scores to be delivered via airmail, and tracking numbers are not provided for this method.

  • Electronic - Candidates can also opt for electronic delivery, with a fee of INR 250 for each university to which they wish to send scores. However, this option is only available for universities/colleges that have opted for electronic download of IELTS test scores.

 

To send an additional TRF to universities or colleges after one month of taking the test, candidates must complete the 'Application for the Issue of Additional TRFs' and pay an extra IELTS test fee for each additional TRF. Authorised persons other than the candidate can also collect the test report form by completing the TRFs-Payment Authorization Form and returning it with the 'Application for the Issue of Additional TRFs' to the IELTS test centre in their city.
