Where to get a Residence Permit - When you arrive in Hungary, you must get a residence permit from your local immigration authority's regional directorate. Such a residence permit can further act to be your key to staying & studying in Hungary for your course duration.
Fees - The administrative service fee for issuing a residence permit is EUR 60, payable at Hungary's diplomatic mission primarily in EUR or other convertible currency or, in exceptional situations, in the legal money of the state where the application is filed. If submitted in Hungary, the procedure will cost HUF 18,000 in administrative fees. The fee for extending a residency permit is 10,000 HUF.

Conditions for Renewal - To renew your residence permit in Hungary, you need to go to the regional directorate of the immigration authority that oversees your place of residence at least 30 days before it expires.
