Taking admission to Australian universities is not an easy task. Before applying to the university, you must ensure that you have all the necessary academic documents and have cleared the qualification. If you are planning on starting your academic session in February, you need to follow the given process in order to have a smooth application.
The students must prepare their all documents including, academic, financial, and English proficiency scores. If the student is applying for a bachelor's degree, then they must complete their high school education (12th class). And if they are applying for master's degree courses, then they must complete their bachelor's.
The students must make an application to their preferred university by September starting for a smooth process. You have to attach all the necessary documents with the application. The university takes about 2 to 3 weeks to assess international students' applications. After assessing the student's profile, the university provides a conditional offer letter to them.
Generally, after getting an offer letter, students have to satisfy the two conditions, i.e., GTE (Genuine Temporary Entrant) and pending documents. The GTE assessment includes a Statement of purpose and documents to prove financial resources. To prove enough financial resources, the students have to show 6 monthly old bank balance, which should be equal to the 1-year living expenses in Australia (21041 AUD), OHSC (overseas healthcare insurance), and 1-year tuition fee. Students have to fulfil the conditions in about one month.
After a GTE gets approved, students have to deposit the initial amount to the university and arrange for Overseas Healthcare Insurance (OHSC). Once the university receives the initial deposit, it will release eCOE (Confirmation of Enrolment) to the students within 3 to 4 days.
Students can start their visa process as soon as they get eCOE. The Australian visa process is online. The students must attach all the documents with their visa application, including proof of enrolment (electronic COE), OSHC, Financial Statement, Color Passport Copy notary attested, VISA SOP, Proof of English proficiency test and academic documents. The student visa application fee in Australia is 650 AUD.
As soon as you submit your visa application, the HAP (Health Assessment Portal) ID will be generated. Students have to visit the Australian immigration-designated hospital for health check-ups with HAP ID. The medical check-up report will be directly sent to the Australian embassy. The embassy will check the student's profile and will give a decision according to it. This process takes around 45 days.
After your visa gets approved, you can finally book your tickets for the February intake. Make sure you book your tickets before your course starting date. And enjoy your higher education journey.
