Having good knowledge of IELTS exam dates is good, but you must understand about the IELTS cancellation and refund policies mentioned by IDP IELTS India.
When you are suffering from exceptional situations like serious medical conditions or any deep loss, you need to approach IELTS test centres in order to cancel the exam before the test day. You can also approach after 5 calendar days for an IELTS cancellation request if you haven’t attempted the exam to be eligible to study abroad.
If you are considering an IELTS cancellation request, you must provide absolute proof of your loss or suffering. Your test centre will then check your case prior to the decisions made. So the final decision depends on your test centre.
If you decide to withdraw your IELTS application more than five weeks before the scheduled test date, you will be eligible for a refund with a 25% deduction for administrative fees.
If you cancel within five weeks of the test day or don't show up, you won't get any refund.
If you fail to attempt the scheduled exam without a prior cancellation request, it will result in the denial of any refund, and it itself is considered a cancellation.
When you are in a situation at the moment and do not want to cancel the test, you have a choice to transfer your current IELTS test date to another date but at least 5 weeks prior to the original test date. Yet the IELTS exam centre will decide when you can take the next IELTS exam date based on your availability.
There’s an extra charge of INR 3,150 when you want to change or postpone your IELTS test date. Aside from this, they will notify you as soon as possible in case they cancel the test for any reason. You can then choose between a full refund or transfer to a future IELTS test date without any additional cost.
You can submit a transfer request at least 5 weeks before your originally booked date to reschedule your test date, which factors in cancellation charges. The new date must fall within three months of the original one.
A mandatory administrative charge of INR 3,300 includes all taxes applicable for the IELTS test date transfer. You must ensure compliance with these guidelines to navigate any changes to your IELTS examination schedule smoothly.
Have you completed your IELTS exam yet not satisfied with the results? Fret not! You now have an option named ‘Enquiries on Results (EOR)’ that allows you to request a revaluation, essentially a re-marking of your IELTS exam.
The IELTS revaluation or re-marking fee is INR 12,200, which covers all the taxes. But you may get a surprise refund if your revaluation results exceed your current band score.
Henceforth, the EOR process allows you to have your IELTS results rechecked and potentially adjusted, along with an assurance of a refund when a positive change occurs in your overall IELTS band score.
You must log in and submit your Enquiries on Results (EOR) application over there, and no other offline requests can be accepted.
There’s a condition that you can only make this request within 6 weeks of the test date.
Your fee will be the same regardless of whether you choose one part or two parts of the IELTS test for the re-marking.
You'll hear back about your revaluation result from the head office within 21 days after they get all your test materials and documents.
