One of the top five student cities in the world is London. It holds the top spot in the QS Best Cities Ranking 2023 because of its high ratings for the desirableness and student view indicators. The city has long been a favourite of students and is home to many top universities, including UCL (University College London), Imperial College London, and King's College London. Students can choose from various top academic institutions in the city.

Responding to a survey conducted by QS World Rankings for the best student cities in UK, a student said, “Edinburgh is the best city in the world. It’s not just the beautiful architecture and setting; the people also make it great. Friendly and always accepting, I will never forget my time in Edinburgh.”

It is Scotland’s largest and most populated city, which is home to three top universities ranked by QS World University Rankings 2023, namely, the University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian University. Like many other cities in the UK, Glasgow also hosts many international students, who say the city feels like a home far from home. It has a rich history with grand architecture and is also a leading industrial centre.

If you are wondering why you should study in Manchester, then the city’s culture, student-friendly environment, and music are just a few reasons. Like Glasgow, It is also ranked as the third most popular city to study in UK. This high ranking is due to the globally renowned universities in Manchester (like Manchester University) and the multicultural student experience. One student responded to a survey conducted by QS World University Ranking for the Best Student Cities 2023 saying, “It's a big enough city with plenty to see and do, but small and inclusive enough that there is still a sense of community among everyone. It's very multicultural and welcomes anyone and everyone. Another said: “The city is wonderful; I don't want to leave. Plus, the people are so friendly, and the nightlife is amazing: the best city I’ve been to.”

With its fair share of late-night pubs, eateries, cafés, retail malls, and other entertainment and music venues, Coventry has a thriving cultural scene.
