Overview

Every student has aspired at some point in their lives to attend a world-renowned university outside their country and gain the coveted international student experience. Nowadays, a lot of students around the globe are planning to Study in USA as it is popular worldwide for its academic institutions. The main reason students globally choose to study in the US could be a consequence of the consistently high rankings of American universities on various parameters. They have highly enriching programmes in a wide variety of disciplines. The degrees awarded by US universities are world-recognized and cutting-edge. In fact, many Nobel laureates come from America, having attained all their education there. And today, the world's top companies in every sector, like Amazon, Apple, and Nike, are all American-born. And, knowing this, there is no doubt about the opportunities provided here, and students have the opportunity to learn from and work with some of the most prominent researchers in all fields.

But even today, many people have a preconceived notion about the cost of studying in the US. They refer to it as being very expensive. But here we are busting the myth. Nope, education in the US is not very expensive in comparison to the return earned on that investment. People like to believe that education in the US is way more expensive than in India, but while making this judgment, we often miss the many perks that the US education system brings with itself. Further, in reality, many US universities are affordable if we compare them with universities in India.

Furthermore, in the United States, the annual fee of public universities goes from $10000 to $75000, which is not a significant difference if we compare it with India, as most of the universities in India have almost the same fee structure.

According to research, it is claimed that overseas education is not just education; it is a form of investment in one's future based on its return on investment in the long run. Suppose a candidate pays INR 10-15 lakhs to any Indian institute. In that case, he/she would not get that many good opportunities to work part-time as Indian institutes are not very flexible in allowing part-time work. One might also experience low pay as a fresher, and on top of that, if you do not possess a strong set of skills, you might face issues while getting a job. Also there is no fixed hours of working or minimum pay wage for students in India. While as an international student in America, you can quickly get part-time jobs and as a student, you’re allowed to work for 20 hours a week, which means you get approximately $7.25–$12 per hour, from which a student can easily afford their living expenses.
