The GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) is a standardised test required to enrol for a postgraduate degree in foreign universities in management, finance, and other business-related courses. Many graduate and business schools in Germany widely accept it. There are two types of GREs, General and Subject tests. The General GRE test examines a student's verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing skills. Whereas the GRE Subject Test evaluates the candidate's knowledge of a particular field.
The GRE is a computer-based multiple-choice exam developed and administered by test maker ETS. The exam allows business schools to scrutinise students' applications by testing their subject-relevant knowledge on the common measure. It contains three modules: Analytical Writing, Verbal Reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning. The score of the GRE test gets available in 10 to 15 days.
