UG/PG Courses, Fees, IELTS, PR in UK, USA, Canada, Australia, NZ & Europe

Hello friends,

Today, we will discuss the factors to keep in mind when you choose a country for overseas education. Check the pros and cons of overseas education in that specific country before you opt for studying there.

The countries to consider for overseas education:

We will focus on countries such as the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and USA, Europe. We have combined Canada and the USA together because the education systems of both these nations are pretty much similar.

UG degree duration:

When you study in the UK, the course duration for the UG program is 3 years. For Australia, it is 3 years as well. For New Zealand, it’s also 3 years. For Canada and the USA, it’s 4 years and in Europe it's 3 years.

PG degree duration:

The PG degree course duration in all countries is 2 years except for the UK where it is 1 year only.

Fees:

The fees here in all these countries are pretty much similar. In the UK, course fees start from 10 lac (INR) and onwards. For Australia, it is 12 lac and onwards. In New Zealand, it is 10 lac, Canada is again 10 lac. However, in Europe you can get 100% scholarship and in the UK, since the Masters program is only for 1 year, you need to pay one-time fees only.

The fees for studying in the USA are a little on the higher side.

IELTS score:

Here is the thing you need to remember that IELTS is not mandatory in any country mentioned above from the embassy, except for Canada. In Canada, if you do not have an IELTS score, you can’t apply under the SDS or student-directed streamline category.

PSW or Post Study Work Permit:

The PSW depends upon which country you are going for overseas education and for what duration of study. In the UK, PSW is available for 2 years for Bachelors Program and 3 years for Masters Program.  In Australia, it is available for 2 years, in New Zealand, it is also 2 years. In Canada, the PSW is 1+1 year and 2+3 years, this means if you have completed a 1-year course, you get a PSW for 1 year and if you have completed a 2-year course, you get a PSW for 3 years. In Europe, the PSW varies. In a few countries, the PSW is for 15 months, and in a few countries it’s available for 2 years.

Conclusion:

So, this shows that education systems in different countries are made up in a way where everyone can benefit from it. Whether you have a budget constraint or not, there is something for everyone to choose from as far as universities are concerned.

This is why several students seeking quality education from reputed universities abroad can fulfill their dreams of a fruitful career in their future.

A lot of money is spent on student loans, so these are some things students should keep in mind. Many counselors assist students in making well-informed decisions when they need it. Both online and offline options are available for these counseling services. If you're intending to study abroad, it's a good idea to consult with an international education expert.

Hopefully, this information has been helpful.

Thank you.
