Hungary is a perfect place to set up your business or for students who eventually want to become entrepreneurs. It's also reasonable to live in and has affordable educational costs. The country is also known for its high-quality education, with degrees recognised in the EU and the United States, and it offers a variety of scholarships to Indian students.
Admission procedures are straightforward, and medical education is particularly well-known, with the University of Pécs serving as a prime example. Students benefit from a secure, modern environment, diverse cultural experiences, and the ability to travel within the Schengen zone.
Thus, Hungary's vibrant student life and numerous low-cost flights make it an excellent choice for international students.
Indian students can easily work in Hungary after graduation. The country offers a post-study work visa for up to 9 months, which allows you to stay and seek employment or start a business.
To be eligible, you must have completed a degree from a Hungarian institution and apply for the visa at least 15 days before your student residence permit expires. You will need sufficient funds, accommodation, and health insurance.
The visa can be converted into a residence permit (PR) if employment is secured. The work permit is valid for one year, and the PR can be extended up to five years.
If you are an Indian student or a citizen of a non-European Economic Area (non-EEA) country, you may work part-time while studying in Hungary. With a study permit, you can work up to 30 hours per week during the academic term and up to 90 days (66 working days) during the holiday period.
Most Hungarian higher education institutions have career offices that can provide information about available job opportunities. These offices keep job databases, organise programs for job-seeking students, and help with career planning and management, making it easier to find part-time work while studying.
