It can be terrifying to take on a challenging task. We can experience mixed emotions when we step outside our comfort zones and challenge our limits. However, one must not give up and at least try on the challenge. I'm going to tell you about the difficult work I attempted.

What was it?

The goal was to pass the GMAT exam. It is one of the world's most difficult tests. I needed to score well in the GMAT exam to achieve my dream of studying in one of the world's most prestigious business schools. However, it was a challenging undertaking for me after graduation because the syllabus included verbal abilities and the need for excellent English language skills. And I needed to prepare for it.

How did you complete it?

I always had to complete my MBA from a top B-school in the USA, so I considered it. I had never taken a demanding and challenging exam before, but I was confident that I could clear the exam with hard work and dedication. So, after completing my BBA degree, I filled out the GMAT form and started preparing for it through an online coaching class.

Why was it difficult?

I must admit that it was not easy to pass, considering the difficulty level of the exam and the intense competition. I had to cover a vast course and range of topics to prepare well for teh exam.

The journey was as difficult as it could be. But, thanks to my hard work and determination, I passed the exam on the first try. I recall when I saw the result and shared it with my family. They were pleased and excited about my success.

How did you feel about doing it?

Talking about my feelings made me feel like my hard work and dedication had paid off. I was overjoyed to realise I was one step closer to my dream. In addition, numerous messages were on my phone screen congratulating and appraising me. It was the most unique and memorable moment of my life.

Conclusion

Finally, after securing good scores, I got admitted to one of the best B-schools in the world, which was an excellent decision, and I am very grateful for that.

Introduction

I make it a point to try new things in life since they enable me to grow and cultivate new skills. I also engage in various sports, including balancing, climbing, jumping, and hanging. Many of these acts benefit me greatly but can also be dangerous. I want to talk about an experience I had that was initially difficult but eventually worked out well.

What was it?

It was about learning underwater swimming. It was a difficult skill initially, but I am now an expert. Since swimming is one of the most essential skills today, my friend encouraged and forced me to learn this skill even though I feared going underwater.

How did you complete it?

Then, I decided to join one of the most popular clubs in the city, the Green's Garden Club, which was about 3.3 kilometres away from my home. Moreover, they gave me a 6-month swimming class course and a costume. I couldn't even go deep underwater for the first week but gradually began learning and honing my skills.

Why was it difficult?

I was terrified of going deep under the water; therefore, learning was difficult for me. In addition, I couldn't hold my breath for long, which is essential for learning underwater swimming. However, their method of instruction made swimming more comfortable for me. Even though it was a three-month course, I learned to swim in just one month.

How did you feel about doing it?

Now that I'm incredibly good at swimming and have received a lot of appreciation from my friends for this. I felt a sense of success after learning this skill because learning something new usually requires work and patience. After learning underwater swimming, I realised that it allowed me to participate in water activities and adventures I could not have earlier. Aside from that, I competed in numerous swimming events and received trophies, strengthening my confidence.

Conclusion

Nothing is impossible; give it a shot. Everything appears complicated when we look at things that way, but once we get started, it gradually becomes simple. All we need is confidence and courage.

Describe a Difficult Thing you did and succeeded - sample Answer 3

Introduction

Well, only some enjoy taking on challenging tasks. But moving out of your comfort zone to improve yourself is necessary. Here is some information about a difficult thing I did during today's pandemic.

What was it?

I want to talk about my weight loss experience today because it was challenging to get used to a new routine and strictly follow the diet plan. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were all bound to stay inside our homes in 2020 and face various challenging circumstances. So, during that period, I gained a lot of weight from overeating and spending the entire day in bed. I wanted to continue eating healthily and getting back into shape.

How did you complete it?

Consistent exercise and intermittent fasting played a significant role in losing weight throughout the procedure. I used to get up early and go for a jog, but now I prefer to walk. Along with this, I followed a balanced diet and started consuming wholesome foods in moderation. I was successful in losing a good deal of weight with this method.

Why was it difficult?

It wasn't easy because I had never diligently followed a specific diet. I'm a laid-back individual who works, eats, and sleeps. However, following the lockdown, I became aware of my massive weight gain and desired to shed part of it. It's relatively easy to gain weight with a sedentary lifestyle, but it can be hard to lose weight by following proper discipline. I need help to accomplish my target since it takes a lot of patience, work, discipline, and persistence.

How did you feel about doing it?

Initially, it was tough because I used to get tempted by junk food and was not able to control myself. Despite knowing it was unhealthy, I loved eating them. But gradually, I restrained myself and saw the remarkable difference. My mood improved, and I was able to be more active. As a result, all of the obstacles and challenges were worthwhile!
