Birkback welcomes student application without traditional entry qualifications, as the selection is based on the assessment of their knowledge and previous work experience. Also, students can receive waivers for some formal entries based on their academic potential. In order to apply for undergraduate degree programs, one must have a Higher Secondary Certificate.   • For post-graduate taught courses, the IELTS requirement may vary for a few courses a minimum of 6.5 (with no less than 6) is required. While for a few courses, a minimum of 7 (with no less than 6.5) is required.

  • For TOEFL, the standard requirement is 79, while some courses may require a minimum score of 94.

  • For PTE, the standard requirement is 62, but some courses may require a minimum score of 68

If any students cannot fulfil the English Requirement, then they can enrol for the pre-sessional English courses and foundation program at the university.

The Birkbeck, University of London fees structure for international students for most of the part-time undergraduate courses is 10,920 pounds. For full-time undergraduates, it is 14,560 pounds per annum. At the same time, the fee for part-time postgraduate courses varies from 8,000 pounds to 10,000 pounds per year and the for full-time postgraduate courses, from 16,000 pounds to 20,000 pounds per year. Moreover, the fee for the various postgraduate certificates is approx. 5,500 pounds per year, and the total fee for the full-time and part-time diplomas is nearly 11,000 pounds (8190 for the first year and 2730 for the second year in the part-time diploma).

Scholarship

This scholarship is provided by the UK government to various international students. The scholarship includes a university tuition fee, a monthly stipend, travel costs, arrival allowance, homeward departure allowance, cost of one visa application, and a travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK.
