Abertay University was founded in Dundee in 1888 as the Dundee Technical Institute. It was renamed the University of Abertay Dundee on August 17, 1994. However, the institution has been using its present name to promote itself since 2014.
It built up a reputation as being one of the UK's premier digital institutions, and are best recognized for their competence in video game development, with their degrees ranking first in Europe for the last seven years.
The three academic institutions provide courses that educate students for the workforce and, in most cases, provide real-world job experience complementing their education, ranging from Mental Health Nursing to Civil Engineering and Business Analytics to Ethical Hacking.
The four principal scholastic complexes, particularly the Kydd Building, the Graham Building, the Baxter Building, and the Old College Building, all provide large classrooms, labs, and study facilities. The campus also provides great housing and dining amenities. It also has 13 sports clubs that serve over 23 social as well as competitive teams.
Abertay University provides a wide range of postgraduate, undergraduate, and research degrees in industries such as finance, engineering, computer engineering, electronic games, law, healthcare, pharmacology, athletics, economics, business, and cognitive science. Moreover, it also offers a variety of preparatory and English language lessons.
The institution has approximately 4,000 students, many of them are international students, as well as a team of outstanding and competent academic members. It also provides several career assistance to pupils. Within six months of graduation, over 95 percent of the university's alumni find work or continue their education.
