PGDM stands for Post Graduate Diploma in Management in all of its aspects. A two-year full-time program in PGDM is available at several Indian colleges and institutes. This course may be broken into four or six semesters based on the requirements of the various colleges and institutions. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which is part of the Government of India's HRD Ministry, has recognised PGDM training institutions.
The subjects and course structure of the PGDM are nearly identical to those of the MBA (Master of Business Administration). The main distinction between them is that an MBA grants a degree, whereas a PGDM is a postgraduate diploma course.
The following criteria must be met by applicants in order to be eligible for the PGDM course:
A graduate of an esteemed college or university is required for consideration.
Candidates must have at least 50% of their points in graduation.
Less than 50% of applicants would have needed to take a series of entrance exams in order to be admitted to their desired university.
