Residence Permit in Italy for International students

With various historical places to explore and opportunities for high-quality education, Italy is one of the best choices for higher studies. It is considered the most affordable study abroad destination with many world-renowned universities. Every year more than 30,000 international students from different parts of the world choose to study in Italy.

International students who wish to study in Italy for more than 3 months will have to apply for a residence permit. This has to be applied within 8 working days from their arrival in Italy. The students will have to submit the residence permit application at any post office. While doing an application, students require some essential documents:

  • 2 photocopies of passport, Italian visa, and fiscal code

  • Photocopy of offer letter from the university

  • Self-declaration form

  • Duty Stamp of 16 euros

  • Photocopy of the receipt of Health insurance

After paying the amount for the electronic residence permit and completing all the formalities at the immigration office, the students will receive the receipt of the residency permit. With the help of a residency permit receipt, the students can avail all the services they can benefit from through a residency permit card.
