The University of West London (UWL) is a public research university in the United Kingdom with campuses in the London boroughs of Ealing and Brentford. It was founded in 1860 and converted to a university in 1992. The University's Chancellor and Vice Chancellor are Laurence Geller and Peter John, respectively. The University of West London (UWL), sometimes known as the 'career university,' has an outstanding graduate employment record, with courses expressly tailored to help students find work after graduation.
Studying at UWL is all about gaining the skills, knowledge, and perspective you'll need to succeed in your chosen field. You will be taught by industry professionals with extensive experience, and you will have the opportunity to benefit from intimate industry relationships. The University has nine prestigious academic schools that span a wide range of topics:
The University has invested £150 million on a three-year redevelopment project to improve students' social and learning experiences, ensuring its place as a premier modern university in London. Throughout the process, the University has collaborated closely with the Students' Union and student representatives to ensure that the student experience is at the forefront of the project.
We understand that housing is an important part of your educational experience, and you want to like where you live. The University will assist you in finding acceptable and safe housing.
We have a variety of options, including university-managed shared flats and houses at the Student Village, which is just a short walk from South Ealing Station; we can help you find off-campus housing in Ealing and the surrounding area; or, if you prefer to rent privately, we have resources to help you make sure where you are renting is safe.
If you are a student at the Berkshire Institute for Health in Reading, we have good relationships with local student housing providers, so you can rest assured that your home has been approved by us.
The Paul Hamlyn Library, a student radio station, an auditorium, music studios, industry-standard labs, a mock courtroom, restaurants and cafés, and a sports complex are all available at the West London Campus in Ealing.
The Nursing Simulation Centre is located in Brentford, which is only a short distance from Ealing and easily accessible by free shuttle service. The Berkshire Institute for Health, located at Reading's Fountain House, allows UWL to collaborate with the NHS to conduct nursing and midwifery programmes across the region.
