The University of East London is a publicly-owned university and was founded in 1898. It is situated in the London Borough of Newham, England, with three campuses in Stratford and Docklands, following the September 2013 inauguration of University Square Stratford.
The University of East London (UEL) is a public research university with three colleges: the College of Applied Health and Communities, the College of Arts, Technology, and Innovation, and the College of Professional Services. The university is regarded as one of the best academic institutions in terms of providing students with a high-quality education as well as good job possibilities.

UEL provides a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and part-time degree programs in disciplines such as business, law, social science, journalism, architecture, engineering, health, sports, sciences, psychology, and the arts. In addition, the institution offers apprenticeship, research, and study abroad opportunities. In addition, the institution maintains relationships with several national and international organizations in ten countries, providing students with numerous professional possibilities and a worldwide perspective. The institution has established the Centre for Student Success to offer students a robust support system that ensures the development and growth of their personalities as well as their employability.

UEL has approximately 100,000 alumni spread throughout 135 countries. Firoz Patel founded the well-known charitable organization Childreach International. Tony Rochford is the head of programming at MTV UK and has previously worked for famous television networks such as CBeebies. Adam Gemili is a world-class runner who was the first Briton to run 100 meters in under ten seconds and 200 meters in under twenty seconds.
Roger Taylor is a well-known musician, composer, and vocalist who is the drummer for Queen, a well-known British rock band. Rupa Asha Huq is a writer, DJ, and Labour Party politician in the United Kingdom. Last but not least, in 2015, Nigeria's finance minister was Kemi Adeosun.
UEL was ranked second in the United Kingdom for teaching quality (Times Higher Education Young University Rankings), and it is one of the world's top 200 young institutions (Times Higher Education Young University Rankings). Furthermore, the University has been rated the UK's best-improved university over the previous decade according to Times Higher Education.

As per the official academic calendar released by the University on its online platform, Semester 1 (the September or Fall Term) will see its Residential Life Welcome from September 9 to 19, 2021. The International orientation will be conducted on September 13, 2021. The orientation and induction will continue on September 20, 2021. The term commences from September 27, 2021.
