Middlesex University was established in 1878 and is a public university situated in the city of London, United Kingdom.

Middlesex University is a member of the Coalition of Modern Universities, the European University Association, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, and Universities UK. The institution was previously known as the Middlesex Polytechnic University. In 1992, it was elevated to the rank of “university”. In 2012, Middlesex University proposed to rebuild its academic school into faculties.

Around £200 million has been invested by the university to build world-class amenities on campus. Middlesex University is well-known for its educational technology and development, and it has earned three Queen's Anniversary honors in postsecondary learning. Aside from that, the institution has received two Queen's Awards for Enterprise in recognition of its international standing. Regional and global students taking a full-time program are provided housing by the institution in their first year of study.
