Keele University, founded in 1949, is a public-owned research University in Staffordshire, England. It was founded as the University College of North Staffordshire and was granted University status by the Royal Charter in 1962. It is described as having the largest campus in the country, as well as multiple significant structures and a science & research park.

The campus of the institution encompasses 625 acres of land. It boasts three faculties: the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Natural Sciences, and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. It delivers quality education at the undergraduate and postgraduate grades, with over 90% of current undergraduates pursuing dual distinctions. Students at the institution have the option of selecting from over 500 different degree streams.

The campus houses approximately 10,000 students, with over 8,000 pursuing graduation and over 2,000 pursuing postgraduate disciplines. Students from well over 120 different countries make up the student body. It is not just that, but the institution offers various study abroad and transnational prospects to undergraduate students. It has maintained strong associations with educational institutions both in the United Kingdom and overseas. The University, as a research-led entity, maintains a beneficial research atmosphere, along with sophisticated and highly-regarded research facilities and educational programs.

Throughout the year, the University's student union hosts social activities. The Athletic Union oversees its sports activities, and students can engage in a variety of sports such as rugby, lacrosse, and dodge ball. It also has two national-standard sports halls, a fitness facility, a dance studio, a single-court gymnasium, and a climbing wall. It is also the nation's first higher education facility to preserve the complete amenities of the "Kinesis" gym.

Additionally, Keele University has a library that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and provides exceptional amenities and study rooms for students. It features a campus library as well as a separate Health Library, both of which offer free Wi-Fi and substantial print and online resources. Keele University has a graduation rate of more than 90%.

In 2011, the University introduced a college of fellows to promote the University's activities outside of the conventional academic sphere. It is presently managed by graduates from industry, the media, and key stakeholders from throughout Staffordshire. The educational establishment has a large and diverse alumni base, with people holding positions of leadership in well-known and renowned organizations.

Intake

According to the official academic calendar released by the University for the academic session starting in 2021, Semester 1 is set to go on from September 27, 2021, to December 19, 2021. The exams for the term will be conducted from January 10-21, 2022. The Fall Term will end on January 21, 2022. Furthermore, Semester 2 is scheduled for January 24, 2022, to May 6, 2022. The exams for term 2 will be held from May 9-27, 2022. The Spring Term will end on June 10, 2022.

The dates of the welcome of new students for the Fall Term have also been disclosed on the official website of Keele University. Students from the United Kingdom are to be welcomed into the premises starting September 25, 2021. Preparation for the welcome of the international students, however, will commence from September 22, 2021, itself. The orientation programs are expected to run from September 23-26, 2021.

However, the orientation events for the Spring Term are to be conducted from January 20-21, 2022.

Scholarship

The Care Leavers and Separated Students' Bursary Award presents a bursary of £1000 on a yearly basis to students engaged in undergraduate and postgraduate disciplines who have left their local guardian’s care or are unalterably alienated from their family and fulfill the applicable qualifying requirements. In addition to the yearly bursary, winners will get a reward of £500 upon completion of the entire course.
