Eligibility Criteria to Study in UEL

In order to take admission in UEl, the international students have to fulfill the eligibility criteria for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs respectively. Apart from academic criteria, the students also require some documents like a Valid Passport, Update CV, Certificate of Graduation/ 12th, etc. The eligibility criteria for the university is given below;

 

For UG Courses:

  • Minimum 60% in the 12th standard
  • Minimum 6.0 as the overall score in IELTS (with no band less than 5.5)
  • A PTE overall score of 50 (with 50 in writing and speaking, 42 in reading and listening)
  • A TOEFL overall score of 60 (with 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 18 in speaking, 21 in writing)
  • One LOR (Letter of Recommendation).

 

For PG Courses:

  • Minimum 55% in the bachelor
  • Minimum 6.5 as an overall score in IELTS (with no band less than 6.0)
  • A PTE overall score of 58 (with no less than 50 in all four components)
  • A TOEFL overall score of 79 (with a minimum of 12 in listening, 13 in reading, 18 in speaking, 21 in writing)
  • Two LOR (Letter ofRecommendation).

 

For Doctoral:

  • Minimum 65% in masters
  • Minimum 7.0 as overall score in IELTS (with no band less than 6.5)
  • A PTE overall score of 65 (with no less than 58 in all four components)
  • A TOEFL overall score of 94 (with a minimum of 20 in listening, 19 in reading, 20 in speaking, 24 in writing)
  • Two LOR (Letter of Recommendation)
  • Work experience accepted.

 

Here are some essential things to keep in mind while applying for January 2023 intake at UEL:

  • The students can also get admission on the basis of MOI (Medium of Instruction), if they have scored more than 70% in their 12th standard.
  • Moreover, some of the Undergraduate
  • courses, the university accepts an overall 5.5 score in IELTS, an overall 42
  • score in PTE and an overall 46 score in TOEFL.
  • For some of the Postgraduate courses, UEL accepts an overall 6.0 score in IELTS, an overall 50 score in PTE and an overall 60 score in TOEFL.

University of East London Courses and Intakes

The UEL provides a wide range of courses to international students at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and Doctorate levels. The international students can take admission in any of the two intakes i.e. either in September or in January. Moreover, the university has a very economical fee structure. The fee for most of the undergraduate courses is approximately 13, 740 pounds. While fee for Postgraduate and Doctorate programs is about 13,500 pounds and 14,040 pounds respectively. The Process to Take Admission in UEL for January Intake

The University of East London is a premier institution with a large number of applications. It is important to be aware of the admission process and deadlines to make sure that you do not miss the opportunity to study with one of the best Universities in UK.

Here is the admission process for January Intake at UEL:

  • The applications for January intake in UK start in the mid of August and are generally accepted till the mid of October
  • Applicants may receive an offer letter within two to three weeks of application
  • Upon the receipt of the offer letter, the students have to apply for PCI or Pre CAS Interview. Make sure that this is applied before the deadline
  • Students will receive their CAS letters within 5-10 days of applying for it (mid-November)
  • Apply for a student visa immediately after receiving the CAS letter
  • The student visa process takes anywhere between 15-20 days, with the exception of PV (Priority Visa) and SPV (Super Priority Visa). PV takes 3-5 days and SPV may be as less as 1-2 days.

Upon receiving the student visa, international students can travel to UK and join their University session, which generally starts in mid-January.
